Managing Behaviors In The Elderly

As our patients age, they are faced with an array of concerns and issues that impact their ability to function in their community. Caregivers are confronted daily with the problems of the aging person. This activity will present some issues and concerns faced by caregivers of the elderly. The impact of culture and society and assessments used will be addressed. It will also provide some practical interventions that can be used when giving care and to teach family members to recognize their escalating stress and what can be done to address the problem.
Managing Behaviors In The Elderly: This activity provides 5.5 contact hours for successful completion.
Ames High is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Social Workers/LPCs will be awarded 5.5 hours, .55 CEUs (sponsor 4207).
